Welcome back to my monthly Travel & Architecture section, featuring stunning architecture and interior design from around the world! While last time we discovered eco-luxury at the 1 Hotel in Miami Beach, this month we go deep into the heart of one of the most exclusive places in Latin America where a sublime hotel and museum reside. Azulik Tulum is a space that perfectly combines spectacular architecture with nature, boarding at the Mayan jungle. Every corner of Azulik is a place to raise sensory experience, as one of the purposes of Azulik is to reconnect with the origin, with nature, with yourself and, of course with others.

In the midst of this unique hotel appears an unexpected art gallery, which presents a list of outstanding international artists and exhibitions of cutting-edge contemporary art. IK LAB develops immersive cultural experiences for the growing local community of Tulum and international visitors that promote creativity, consciousness and vision.
Through its ecological design, a circle of incredible artists and a residence programme, IK LAB aims to provide a framework so that the finest creative minds in the world interact with the visionary architecture of the gallery itself.

When entering the museum barefoot, you are invited to interact with the floor as a living organism, as there is an element of surprise when you pass from the contrast of the polished, smooth and cold cement to the warm and crude wooden floor made of bejuco.

Made by humans, this visionary project is a also a gentle reminder that humans are only made by nature. In this way, once you enter and know Azulik Tulum, you will leave as a completely different and renewed being.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE PLACE THAT RECONNECTS YOU WITH NATURE & YOURSELF? WHETHER IT’S VISITING A UNIQUE HOTEL, A MORNING HIKE IN THE MOUNTAINS OR YOUR EVENING WALK ALONG THE BEACH, I’D LOVE TO KNOW IN THE COMMENTS BELOW!
